Revitalize Your Body with Homemade Scrubs

Facial scrubbing is an excellent technique for maintaining beautiful skin. The following article is about the different types of scrubs according to different skin types.

Oily Skin Scrubs

Yogurt and Oatmeal: Make a mixture of oatmeal and yogurt, resulting in a viscous solution. Add one grated tomato, one grated potato and cucumber extract in the mix. Apply on skin and rinse off after a quarter of an hour.

Egg and Lemon: Add a few drops of lemon extract to segregated egg yolk. Set it aside for 15 minutes and then apply on face. Rinse with plain water after a quarter of an hour.

Carrot Juice: Prepare one by making a mixture consisting of 5 drops each of carrot extract and almond oil, 2 drops of lemon extract and a hint of yeast powder.

Sea Salt: You can make this by mixing half a cup each of sea salt, lemon extract and lime extract, with a quarter teaspoon of almond oil. You can also include a few drops of carrier oils for moisturizing.

Dry Skin Scrubs  

Honey, Avocado and Olive Oil: Mix diced cucumber with mashed avocado. Add one tablespoon of sugar and one tablespoon of honey and a few drops of olive oil to the mix. This will result in a thick solution. Apply it on the skin, wait till it dries and afterwards, wash it off.

Yogurt, Orange Peel and Lemon Peel: Make a blended mixture consisting of 2 tablespoons of yogurt, orange peel powder and lemon peel powder. Put it on for 5 minutes and wash it off afterwards.

Oats and Yogurt: Make a mixture consisting of one tablespoon each of yogurt and ground oats. Scrub gently and wash it off with cold water.

Olive oil and Brown Sugar: Add half a cup of brown sugar into a quarter cup of olive oil. Blend the mix and apply on skin.

Sensitive Skin Scrubs
Cucumber and Aloe Vera: Take two tablespoons each of grated cucumbers and gel made out of Aloe Vera. Mix them well and gently massage your skin with it. Use cold water for rinsing off.

Banana and Oatmeal: Mix one teaspoon each of oatmeal and honey with a mashed banana. Carefully massage your skin with it. Rinse off using cold water after a few minutes.

Other Body Scrubs

Oat and Honey: Grind raw oats weighing up to 3 teaspoons. Mix them with a quarter teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and 1 tablespoon of honey, resulting in a viscous paste. Also, add a drop of basil oil to the mix. Apply on clean and dry skin, and wash off after 15 minutes.

Pineapple and Papaya: Make a mixture with the following ingredients: 1 cup each of diced pineapple and papaya, 2 tablespoon each of sugar and oatmeal, 1 tablespoon of honey, and 1 teaspoon of baby oil. Squeeze juice out of the papaya and pineapple and mix it with the rest of the ingredients. Apply the mixture on face. Wash off with cold water after a quarter of an hour.
