Here are eight habits that not only improve your lifestyle but your budget as well. Adopt these eight habits so that you boost your health without depleting your budget:

Keep a daily food diary
Researchers say that the best way to avoid weight gain is by keeping a daily food dairy. Jot down what you eat so that you do not end up exceeding your calorie intake.

De-stress by taking an imaginary vacation
Experts have found that when you imagine something relaxing, then your body will automatically relax. If you are stressed, try to imagine yourself on a beautiful beach. Make sure you visualize all the details. For example, can you feel the cool breeze on your skin? Can you hear the sound of waves? The visualization will help calm you the same way as going to a real beach would.

De-clutter your house and office
Do you never find things that you are looking for? If you constantly find yourself wasting time looking for things, then it means that you are constantly stressed out. You will be amazed to know how much lighter you can feel if you keep your desk and closet tidy and organized.

Breathe deeply
People who breathe from their upper chest only get about a teacup of air to their lungs. You breathe the right way when your abdomen expands completely. This will deliver eight times the amount of oxygen to your brain than breathing from your upper chest will. When you breathe deeply, it stimulates slower brain waves in your brain. To learn how to breathe properly, lie down and place your palm on your abdomen. When you inhale, let the air inflate your abdomen so that your hand rises. Then let the air seep out by exhaling slowly. Keep repeating until you feel relaxed.

Catch up with a friend
Catching up or talking with a friend will not only make you feel happy, but it will counteract the effects of stress. According to research, when a woman befriends someone, a hormone named oxytocin is released in their bodies. This hormone helps women relax.

Use a pedometer
A pedometer is a device that records the number of step you take. For good exercise, make sure you take 10,000 steps per day.

Have a support group
If you exercise with friends, then you will have fun exercising daily. Ask your friends, neighbors or colleagues, whether they want to exercise with you. This way, you will not skip exercising.

Floss daily
Taking care of your teeth well will save you trips to the dentist. In addition, it will brighten your smile.
