Fiber is important because it helps you stay regular. Maintaining a regular bowel movement is vital to your overall health.
Just like water, fiber helps flush toxins out of your body. You can get fiber from fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
4 – Exercise Everyday
The benefits of daily exercise should not be underestimated. All it takes is 30 minutes a day and you will have more energy and more vitality than you ever imagined.
When you exercise you release what is known as feel good hormones. This is why you will almost always feel better after a little exercise.
When you exercise you increase your heart rate which provides your cells with more oxygen. Something as simple as gardening or playing outside with your children are both great ways to get in some exercise.
5 – Get At Least 7 Hours of Sleep Every Night
When you don’t get enough sleep you have low energy and your brain is foggy. It can also lead to you eating more throughout the day in an effort to stay awake.
While we are all different and need a different amount of rest, for optimum health it is recommended you get a minimum of 7 hours every night.
6 – Don’t Miss Any Doctor Visits
Most doctors want to see you at least once a year for a routine physical. Other checkups such as breast exams may be recommended more often as you start to age.
Seeing your doctor once a year is a great way to stay informed about what’s going on in your body.
